21A – Reading Reflection No. 2

  • How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big, Scott Adams

In this exercise, I'd like you to select a book from the second half of the Official ENT 3003 Reading List and report on it. This part of the list focuses on books that cover, generally, entrepreneurship, business, and learning. I'd like you to address the following in your post:
1) What was the general theme or argument of the book?
  1. Look after yourself first. This involves eating right, exercising, avoiding unnecessary stress and getting enough sleep.
  2. Look after your economics. That includes your job, your investments, and even your house.
  3. Look after all the other things. Your family, community, country and the world.
2) How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003?
it is just talking about how even when you think you re failing there are things you are winning at. This ties into entrepreneurship because like even if you fail in one aspect of the business you can still pick yourself up and start a new venture.
3) If you had to design an exercise for this class, based on the book you read, what would that exercise involve?
it would be to say whether you think you are more selfless or selfish and thing make a list why you believe that and then challenge to change to be the opposite for a week and see how that made you feel.
4) What was your biggest surprise or 'aha' moment when reading the book? In other words, what did you learn that differed most from your expectations
I didn't have one. I enjoyed the book at a surface level. i have other classes that require deep reading and complex things so i didn't want to add this to that. it was a pleasant read to just get the gist of the book
